How can I use emojis in the web app?

Note: The following instructions are divided into Windows computers and Mac. Therefore, please make sure that you follow the correct guide.  

1. Windows 10 computer

If you are using a computer with the Windows 10 operating system, it already has an integrated emoji picker. To use the picker, first you need to click with your mouse in the specific text field. Afterwards, you can open the emoji keyboard with the key combination [Windows] + [.] and select the emoji you like.

2. Mac computer

If you are using a Mac computer, it already has an integrated emoji picker. First position your mouse in any text field where you like to insert an emoji. Then press the key combination [Command]- and [Control] and then [Space]. Now you see the emoji keyboard palette on your screen and you can select the specific emoji simply with one click. 

3. Older Windows operating system

If you are using a computer with an older Windows operating system, you need to add an emoji extension to your web browser. Since we generally recommend using the Google Chrome browser due to its high performance, we refer to this browser in the following. You can proceed in the same way in another browser.

To install the emoji extension, open Google Chrome and type "Google Chrome emoji extension" in the search bar.

Then click "Add to Chrome" to save the extension in your browser.

When you write a text in a chat in the employee app, you can simply press the Windows key and the dot key at the same time and the following window will appear where you can select the emojis you like to use.
