What is the difference between external_ID and group_ID?

The group_ID is only needed if groups have already been created manually in the employee app and should now to be filled with users.

The external_ID is a unique ID that is assigned by the customer to add users to groups.

Both the external_ID and the group_ID can be queried via the GET "get all existing groups" request.
